How to load your TDL/TCP File

    Copy the file path

    Locate the downloaded .tcp or .txt file on your computer. Right-click the file, select Properties, go to Security, and copy the full "Object name" path.

    Open Help Menu in Tally

    Press F1 (Help) > TDLs & Add-Ons from the top gateway menu.

    Manage Local TDLs

    Press F4 (Manage Local TDLs). Set "Load TDL files on startup" to Yes. Paste the copied file path in the empty row and press Enter to save.

    Copy the File

    It is recommended to copy the .tcp file directly into your Tally ERP 9 installation folder (e.g., C:\Tally.ERP9).

    Edit Tally.ini

    Open tally.ini from the installation folder. Set User TDL=Yes and add the filename at the bottom.

    tdl = C:\Tally.ERP9\MyCustomTdl.tcp

    Restart Application

    Close and reopen Tally ERP 9. You will see "1 of 1 TDLs loaded" at the bottom left panel.
